The Swing

The swing sequence below illustrates basic stages of a swing

Place the clubhead in front of you, in the middle of your stance

Rotate shoulders, arms, and hands together, tracing the toe of the club back and up

Begin hinging wrists and rotate your left shoulder down and back

Keep your right elbow close to your body as you pause at the top of your swing

Begin the downswing by pulling the handle down towards your right knee

Continue dragging the club through parallel, letting the wrist hinge release

Rotate your right hip forward and keep your head down through contact with the ball

After contact continue rotating up and to the left to finish the swing

Let that momentum carry you up on to your right toes
